The only thing I remember absolutely loving from this album is Peak and Valley Lines, which is the least ITO this band has ever been.

These guys have been pretty consistently good. A new album would be great to hear, and they're about due for a new one. I remember hearing that they were working on some new stuff.

Album was fucking phenomenal. Not as cohesive as Pilot Waves since it kinda feels all over the place but that doesn't hold it back in the slightest. Hidalgo's Secret Hideout and Ghosts of Former Lives are my early highlights but all of these were great. Most recent single, Renaissance of Killing Art was probably the weakest but I still enjoyed it in the context. Shadowboxing is definitely a tearjerker. Definitely not as dark as Pilot Waves but it actually has a few more screamy moments.
Dimensions, Do Not Resuscitate, and The Vanishing Point are all up there as well. Seriously, such a damn amazing album. I think they really gotta do another 7+minute cause those really tie everything together at the end but wow. The fact that they have been this consistent for this long is mind-blowing

I think it blends a lot of Pilot Waves and Love Always, Leviathan. I wish they had something piano driven like Peak and Valley Lines but that's cool, they have more than enough to make up for it.
Ummm, I have no idea where to rank it. Self-Titled will most likely stay my favorite. It's at the quality of PW and LAL which are essentially tied at this point for me with PW edging LAL out slightly.

fuck, I just wanna listen again with better quality and cry more and find things I didn't on first listen.
I wish the album had bigger conclusions like PW. some of these do, but not all of them.
Doublesleep is the first time I think their crazy time signatures was more of a determent but I can see myself getting over that and that song did have one of those sick endings so it is indeed forgiven.

STOP GETTING ME HYPED MAN
I was hoping for an early leak, but I don't want one if it was from a low quality stream. I guess we're only a few days away.
I found these guys on this site, when the review was posted for LAL, and I've been in love ever since.
So many memories! I can't listen to LAL without thinking about an ex, in a bittersweet way. Those are my favorite records. The ones steeped in memories or nostalgia.
Maybe the only band I've listened to for years which hasn't disappointed me, ever? I didn't jam Pilot Waves the way I did LAL or the self-titled, but I love it all the same. Here's to hoping this one continues to ride that wave.
I fully expect Bloc to write a review so we can circle-jerk as much as we did when the S/T was released.
