This rules so hard. No idea why I put off listening to it for so long.
|

I really need to check this, loved the single

Album's not bad. Definitely not a 4.5 though. It just seems like they're going through the motions on this one

Check Earth Rocker and Blast Tyrant too.

And Robot Hive.
This band had some quality records.

'Elephant Riders' is probably their best just due to the song writing, even though it lack rawness
|
| |
Never even heard Elephant Riders tbh, got stuck on a couple of other records by them.

Clutch are a strange band that overall I like but I can't award any of their full lengths over a 3 because I never find them that satisfying across a whole album :/
|
| |
I can find myself in that, this might go down tbh.
But not even Earth Rocker? That record is their most satisfying release to date.

I should revisit Earth Rocker but first impressions were it wasn't the Clutch style I appreciate most. The good material on this one for example is perfect (first two track in particular).
If they had a whole album as good as those two, in a similar production style/performance style then I'd 4.5 it.

These guys are working on a new record currently.
