it's not their best song but I thought Second Chance was pretty decent

sowing is it still a bad idea to write reviews in Microsoft word or was that whole issue finally fixed?

They started sliding after Amaryllis honestly. But at least it had a few decent tracks. The problem is they're trying to have another sound of madness, which was all radio singles basically. The issue is those songs had meaning and emotion. These ones lack both.

"The problem is they're trying to have another sound of madness, which was all radio singles basically."
I would agree to that, except Cry for Help, Breaking Inside, and What a Shame were never played on the radio, so....
|
| |
And it's a crying shame about "Cry for Help" and "What a Shame" because those are two of the best tracks on TSOM

(^I see what you did there) Cry for Help especially, probably the most underrated song on that album
|
| |
Heard a few songs off of this, none of them stuck. Probably wont even listen to the whole thing.

I just mean some of the things that they say, like Rolling Stone is just a running punch line
people could say the same thing about how I like Taylor Swift and all though, so whatever
The point is Black Cadillac is terrible
|

Yeah but scources like those generally can't do much but praise the newest whatever, keeps them in business I guess

I enjoyed Cut the Cord, should I bother listening to the rest of this?

Considering what you usually listen to, you might as well try. Their worst, anyway.

wow, this is really that bad? I know that post-grunge is boring and bad, but a 1.5? That said, I have no desire to listen to this.
|
| |
1.5 is like the standard for butt rock tbh
|
| |
I guess since I've never rated one, I don't really know what I would rate it. that said, I know every one has different criteria for what they rate things. A 1.5 for me is something that is atrocious, yet listenable.

Crappy songwriting aside, does anyone else think that the production on this album is awful? Everything sounds so cold and harsh. It's as if it was their goal to siphon out any bit of analog warmth that might have reminded listeners of their older albums.
