Good album, wish it had more songs that pack a punch though

tbh I'm not to hot on the songs that "pack a punch".

"What went down" and "Snake oil" are the two weakest songs on here.

"Give It All" and "Snake Oil" are the weakest for me, and even then they're pretty good songs.

I thought I would enjoy this considering I enjoyed Antidotes and Holy Fire a lot. I guess these guys are an every other album is good band for me

Upon a couple of casual, randomized listens, I'm not sure what to think of this.

It feels like Holy Fire, but less good... maybe I need some more time to digest it.

I liked the singles, but Snake Oil and Give it All are big duds for me; seeming like a 3/5.

I think Holy Fire had more immediately satisfying songs, like Inhaler, My Number, etc where as this has a more lasting appeal in it's subtlety, layering and atmosphere similar to TLF.

Perhaps thats why I wasn't a huge fan of TLF. I've never really been bothered enough about this band to listen to it more than once.

I suppose Antidotes will always be my jam.

Solid album, but most of the second half seems kinda monotonous until A Knife In the Ocean. Not terribly fond of Snake Oil either. Maybe this'll change with a few more listens.

This and Maccabees have been surprising. Beardy student drivel that has a point. The times they are a changin'

@Evenoss Holy Fire was okay but Inhaler's like top 5 Foals songs(Spanish Sahara as well) so those were good choices at least

"unleash the unbridled intensity"
sorta redundant or something maybe. the fact that they had to unleash it means it wasn't unbridled prior.

that and saying "unleash the unbridled intensity" in reference to foals is easily the dumbest thing ive hrd today
