I don't get the elite attitude against this band though. And it's only here though. I know only one person irl who has even heard of then.
It's always been Sputnik and no one else. Most sites love these guys.

I like their long overblown bullshit, too. Years Past Matter was amazing imo, but this is probably my 2nd favorite Krallice. I need to jam it more before I can say for sure.

Colored Sands is worse than Krallice
No, hence my statement of disappointment with this album a few pages back. Krallice has been one of my favourite black metal bands for a long time now, and Gorguts one of my favourite death metal bands. But Colored Sands failed to hold up over time and feels weak now. Whilst Krallice's back catalogue makes for a great melodic atmospheric listen to chill out to
Truer words have never been spoken. And I wouldn't even give Coloured Sands that much credit, it was the Marston show from the beginning and it hurt the album immensely.
In fact, I would call out anybody who jizzed on that album but doesn't like this album/ band.

if krallice bored you before, this likely won't change your mind

exited to hear this

On the contrary, if Krallice bored you before I'd highly recommend checking this one out. This is the furthest they've stepped outside their usual formula in their whole career and previous Krallice detractors seem to be digging it.

This is really good. The vocalist sounds fucking awesome.

You bring up a great point, Grave. I love the vocals and how they were mixed here. Sounds like he's screaming the lyrics from down a long hallway, it has this real distant feel to them. Normally I might dislike something of that nature but it really works here.

I really dug Colored Sands and I must say that this album sounds pretty brilliant as well.
Krallice is a pretty good band imo and I think it would be unfair to dismiss this album on the basis of not liking their previous efforts seeing as this is pretty damn different to their usual formula.

Tried to listen to this a couple of times. There's way better music to devote my time to than this.
|

I would def recommend this to people who can't get into Krallice, at the very least this is just 36 mins long so it's not going to bore as much as their other albums

I totally dont get the hate, at least not towards this album. I didnt listen to the older albums but this is a very interesting take on modern extreme metal. I wouldnt really call it black metal because there is lots of death metal and even some hardcore influences in here as well. To me they sound pretty unique. I guess they sound somewhat similar to gorguts sometimes but thats one of the best things u could say about an extreme band these days.
