Nice review Portal, idk if you've been writing somewhere else since those first 2 reviews I critiqued way back, but you've improved a lot! My only real nitpick is that the last paragraph has way too many short sentences, cutting them short can make them impactful but having lots of them in a row just makes it disjointed. Great work overall though, pos'd. Really keen to check this out, loved their last album.

Well it looks like RYM has all their albums with low ratings and the one guy that have it 1 star seems to be into very different types of music.



I liked Quietest Place a lot but I honestly thought this wasn't going to be a good, even after hearing Gallant Gentlemen. So I can't speak for others but there was no hype for me. Just one of the easiest 5s I've ever given.

I listened through it. It sounded quite nice though nothing of it stood out for me, and it isn't really inviting me for a second all-through (not really much in terms of 'weird'/silent layers).
Might do it anyway, but for me this is just nicely executed post-rock like so many bands do.
