Nice review, while I have to agree that it seems like the music the band is making overall has improved with all of the turnover and the inclusion of the female vocalist... I think I preferred when it was less obvious they were trying to be a serious band.

These guys are the definition of a guilty pleasure for me. Soft spot being from the Buffalo area. The admittedly horrid harsh vocals somehow just worked for me in a weird "they're so grating they make me feel appropriately aggressive but for the wrong reasons" way. And Chris Hutka's "chipmunk-esque falsettos", as someone else coined, didn't bother me at all. If anything I'm always kind of impressed when a guy can go so high and do it with any kind of technical proficiency. Live performances aside, since I've never seen them.

There's a reason why I think "It's Always Cold In Buffalo (Revisited)" is the only song I'm really taking away from this. XD Definitely a solid review though! Have a thumbs up. (How do I rate up a review? lol)

I kinda see what you mean by this Dreakon, but I think if you take it in the context that this is sort of like a debut LP, then I think they're just trying to get their sound right to fulfil whatever potential there is.

Thanks man. No need to rate it up.

If they build from this I could probably get into them, as things stand they're too poppy; if they had more aggression woven throughout (and some proper harsh/screams) I'd be more of a fan.

Seems like this lineup might work out for them though, so kudos for finding a better fit.

And now they need to get Bunny 2.0... what will not happened since that guy is band's mastermind. Screams are easily the weakest part of the album, female vocals are good. Accurate review and rating.

P.S. Can someone rec me post-hardcore with female or female/male vocals? (Besides ES2K and other stuff mentioned in review and in 'similar' category on that bands' pages ofc.)

Damn Davey, you've reviewed three bands that I've never heard that turned out to be really good. I'm impressed.

Acanthus, I agree with most of what you state, except I'm unsure that they're going to go more aggressive in the future. The best you can hope for is the bunny improving his screams gradually.

LOL sadchild. This is bunny 1.0's project, so I can't see a 2.0 happening. As per the review, there really isn't much female-led post-hardcore.

Woh Trey. That rating is high. I was 50-50 on whether to rec this to you, but you just love those female vocals. Make sure you check out that Beautiful Bodies album, if you have yet to do so. So fun.

my only guess as to why willie likes this is that this band went from being trancecore to an annoying butt rock metalcore fusion

Album is hit or miss. Cool tracks, bland tracks, repeat.

I've always at least thought this band was decent, if unimpressive...the idea of a female vocalist was cool, but her vocals don't fit in my opinion. The production doesn't help either.

Balls, you & I are the only ones to rate that beautiful Bodies album. Talk everyone else into listening to it, will ya? No-one listens to me without a 2nd opinion like Trey's above.

That's why I think there's actually a decent amount of room for improvement with these guys now.

I've never heard any of their other stuff, but this is really good, Who cares how new, unique, or whatever this is? As music, this is really good. Not everything (in fact, most things) aren't going to be groundbreaking. THe best we can hope for is something good, interesting, and/or entertaining. This is all of those things. The electronics and contrasting vocals really make this album. Who cares that it's nothing special? If the only thing people listened to is totally unique albums, they'd own like 12 albums and that's it.
