Album is a love vs hate affair.
And yes, patience is required to approach that massive piece of work.

I don't hate this but I sure don't love it. I mean, it's good once you've gotten your head around how the songs are structured, but it's really disappointing in terms of song-writing compared to Close to the Edge ...

I get lost in the clouds with this, my slight ADD has a hard time sticking to it

honestly, i truly absorbed it when i was painting the first floor of my house......i noticed sections or parts of each song that i was drawn to.....then, i started listening to one song at a time, not always starting with Science......after i became familiar with it completely and was able to pinpoint any section of the 4 tracks here was the period when i realized that 'i got it'......that was when i started spinning it as a whole, and i love the shit out of it

It's got way too much pointless noodling imo. There's something wrong when every song could be shortened by several minutes. But it has its moments and Ritual is a really great piece.

Ritual is my least favorite

That's The Ancient for me
My ranking of the tracks on here would be:
Ritual > Revealing Science > Remembering > The Ancient

I wouldn't know exactly how to rank them but I'll try;
Science
Ancient
Ritual
Remembering
The dynamic percussion section in Ritual is probably my favorite part of the whole album.
I dig Remembering, but I needed to put one last song...

i see that you guys rank The Remembering toward the bottom here.....i love it, Jon Anderson shines on that one
AND I DO FEEL VERY WELL!

Yes, none of the songs deserve to be the 4th one, really.

Relistening to ''The Remembering'', it's better than I remember. I thought that there were couple of unnecessary lenghty passages into it, but it's in fact possibly the most structured and compact song of the bunch. It's arguably the easiest to listen to.
