definitely prefer saloon but this is great
kinda expected something a lot more raw from the whole "handmade" concept but it's somehow poppier than anything they've done before. considered going with a 3 in the first half but the back stretch won me over a bit

This wore off of me a bit, but it's still great.

I also prefer Saloon over this. Trophy bangs hard, the rest is ok. Melody is cringeworthy imo...

I thought Melody was weird at first, but I ended up liking it after a few times.
I like Saloon more, too, but I still think this is pretty fantastic.

The vocals are one of my favorite parts.
Really, tho, pretty much all of it is my favorite part.

I can't really get into this yet. Not a fan of the poppier parts.

Apparently performing on handmade instruments, Idaho rockers The Ongoing Concept deliver more of their unique & unconventional sound on 2nd LP 'Handmade'. More focused, consistent & cohesive than the wild west themed 'Saloon', the quartet rein in their avid experimentation a little, without significantly sacrificing their inventive energy. At just 31 minutes in length, the filler has thankfully been eradicated, with the band finding a better overall balance between chaotic hardcore & deceptively catchy alt-rock. The album could do with a home run hit, but this is another promising step for a creative act. Recommended Tracks: Amends, Soul, Trophy & Unwanted.

I was happy to hear the throwback to Goodbye, So Long in the closing track on this.
I'm still amazed the vocalist is able to scream after that ridiculous performance on the last album.

I didn't realize these guys hailed from Northern Idaho until I saw some of their band merch. I am from Southern Idaho and to see a band this good come out of the same state I live in is something I never thought I would see
