i really liked this after 3-4 listens, but gotta say the album doesn't have much replay value, prob gonna bump down to a 3, but yeah album isn't bad at all.

The aesthetic is cool, but that's all. Once you hear a bit of it, you've really heard the whole album.

That's not really true at all. There's a good bit of variation here, especially toward the back end if the album.

Damn the first three tracks are painful, though Follow II isn't too bad so far.

This band is amazing, because the fights people have about them are the best thing on this planet.

My opinion on this record is irrelevant.

This album gives me headaches. If this is "the next step for black metal" like some people are apparently claiming, then count me out.

Skimmed this again and nah, 2.5 is a fair rating. Like half the tracks end up being interesting but then wacko tracks like Vitriol waste your time. Reign Array or w/e it's called is the only legitimately noteworthy piece here.

the guitar tone is really sick. composition-wise this is really cool but those vocals take some getting used to

Review heavily edited to accompany the score change from 1 to 2.5

This grew on me massively on repeated listens, the only major flaws as stated in the review are the vocals, production/mixing, and some over-repetition with some experiments falling flat.

I love how no body can stand this record...what the fuck do you think this is meant to be? Because it's honestly fucking brilliant. Ya'll are just so Black Metal Butt-hurt aye?

I swear no body hear actually know where the hell they're even coming from. You don't need to hear 'other albums to see where they're coming from.' Fucking morons, it's not even Black Metal anymore! So what's your problem with this record now?! If something like Kel Valhaal was released by Swans, you mother fuckers would be praising it!
