fuck it listening to this

Never really managed to get into this band, maybe worth another try
|

Love some of the other stuff I've heard from these guys. Gotta check.

Same, I still haven't done it because I don't know.
On a side note, observing people's reactions to Sigh's style is part of the game, haha. (no dissing intended)

I've never been a huge fan of this band, but I still feel like it's worth looking into.
I still haven't heard Scorn Defeat though sadly, I could never find it.

Scorn Defeat is awesome dude. It's not that hard to find online... and it's probably on youtube. I highly recommend listening to it.

Don't understand why some people believe that this is some of their most accessible material. Listening now and even though I dig the band it's still pretty tough to bear the production at times. "The Tombfiller" fucking slays for days, though.

Goddamn "The Molesters of My Soul" is barely listenable.
I like it.

oh man this mix

An ok album with some great moments but overall pretty average for a band that can give more (and has proved that with In Somniphobia for example)
Favourite tracks: "The Tombfiller", "The trial by the dead" and "A messenger from tomorrow"
I think the mix is bad on purpose here...

123, agreed completely. The mix is obviously bad on purpose, but this is a bit too much even for Sigh.

Maybe I have caveman ears, but I don't even notice the bad mix. Definitely not Vattnet Viskar bad.
I hope that's the only reason for the low overall score because this is the best balls-out-crazy-kitchen-sink metal album since Deconstruction.

If you want to hear an unlistenable SIGH mix, check out The Curse of Izanagi. Dear God.

This album definitely grew with time but it still doesn't grab me like most of the other stuff. Just take the aforementioned Izanagi, that track alone is more interesting than anything in here to me.
That said I admit I haven't given this album any real chance in a long time, I should re-listen to the full thing.

I'm way late to the party, but I love this album and think the production is solid.
