I'd put them more in the "annoying" category, if anything.

"or if you were male and around the age of 15-23"

Indeed.

I don't know, I don't think they're that bad. The 1975 or Kaiser Chiefs are far worse in my opinion.

You're welcome Daniel. Unsure why you'd even be looking at the objectivity %, but anyway.

I'd put these guys & Kaiser Chiefs about on par. The 1975 probably have to release another album before comparisons can be made there.

Kaiser chiefs early stuff was great

Tho now their singer has lost loads of weight and is a judge on the Voice uk so theyve lost some of their charm

Agreed; their debut was super catchy. Haha, how dare he lose weight. Poor Patrick Stump suffered the same backlash.

Na like good for him and all that but its just now he looks less like the likeable underdog who wears polo shirts and youd see down the pub, and instead looks all preened and slim and handsome and err i dunno i cant relate anymore

I.e people should stay fat if its working for them haha

True (the relatability part), although at the end of the day, it's all about the music. The last LP I listened to of theirs was a tad plain.

Yeah in fairness i havent properly heard any of their recent efforts. Uk indie/alt rock/lad rock was all i used to listen to but the genre peaked years ago

I love the term "lad rock". Which reminds me, Don Broco have a new album coming out soon.

Surely you can't be a lad and posh at the same time!?

Seems my education has somewhat failed me as i had to google dichotomy

Basically in the uk a lad is a somewhat casual term used to describe certain young men. A lad drinks, fucks about, gets up to mischief etc etc. Ive heard it get compared to the equivalent of frats in america. On wikipedia its been labelled a subculture but id say thays a bit excessive, its more commonly used ironically or jokingly.

Poshboy is your upper middle class to upper class, well spoken, well educated, probably good looking guy wo may try to act like a lad but comes off as a bit of a prat because he grew up in cambridge not a council estate in slough

Yeah.
