I got the song last night. It's great, though I wouldn't bother buying it now. If you haven't DL'ed it yet, it is worth it.

Bass as low as in the mix of Nothing? Nothing didn't even have a bassist for it

Great review, great album.

Although I think it's a little thrown together (the structure of the song is simple riff cycling), this is still the most amazing 21 minutes of pure audiogasmia I've ever heard. I think Catch 33 is much more dramatic, varied and powerful, but this is still amazing everytime I listen to it.

The Doom Metal-ish riff that ends the song never ceases to amaze me with its power.

All the musicians are great.

An epic masterpiece, I love it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there was bass on that album. However, the strings were tuned the same, so it's really hard to tell. Listen to Straws Pulled at Random with headphones on, you can tell there is bass at parts.

Could somebody explain why I have a 3:33 min version of this song? (and yes, it goes perfectly...no sound cuts)

Btw, I thought that this song was absolutely amazing.

How could they butcher this song into 3:33 minutes! that should be illegal to cut down such a best of a song!

This song is rediculous, one time I was driving in my car with this blasting and I was stopped at a red light with the really insane part at about 1:33 minutes into it, and the two cars next to me were staring at me thinking 'what he listening to!'

Where did you find that version? That would be a cool thing to have, if only to be a tr00 Meshuggah fan.

It was a demo. It's on their site, I think.

I love this song, but theres not much you can do with one song.

I downloaded this and was confused. I got two minutes in and couldn't stand to subject myself to the pain any longer. To this day I don't understand the hype around Meshuggah. This Message Edited On 10.23.05

It's complex. I love Meshuggah. The intro is repetitive, yet the rest of the song isn't that painful..

Download "Future Breed Machine".
