Ahhh, 'Baby Britain'... Love it.
And don't always assume that I've listened to all of the albums (in full) that I place in the recommended section. Usually I have heard most, but in a case such as this, I haven't... And are more basing it on certain tracks from the artists. Although, that should be obvious, since who the hell is gonna listen to a whole Manilow LP!?

"Thanks Hopelust. But does that gaze follow you around everywhere like the Mona Lisa does?"
I'm too scared to find out.

Haha. If you have a look at his live performance on Jimmy Fallon, he's got some weird/crazy facial expressions too... So I'd be scared as well.

i think he is gonna die in hollywood tho
singersongwriters like this remind me of brian eno's line: i'll come running to tie your shoes
i prefer eno's version tbh altho the lyrics on this album are generally decent

Whenever anydone describes somebody as "smooth", I automatically think Buble. Unsure whether Jesso would welcome that comparison or not.
The lyrics are decent, but often not fleshed out as much as they could be.

I'm certain he'd find that comparison more favorable.

Loving the album name ;) Just A Dream is really good. I'm not so big on the rest of the recommended tracks, they're slightly dull but i'll probably check out the album at some point. For some reason some of the songs remind me of what Kevin Parker would sound like if he played piano-y singer songwriter music. But now I'm just wanting that instead of Tobias...

Tbh, I'm still a little unsure where the album title came from. 'Just A Dream' is indeed awesome. I think that was his original demo.

Just a Dream is great, but it wore off me very quickly

Really? I think it's one of those - dare I say it - timeless type of tunes.
