99% of metal bands are corny/cheesy as fuck and thats part of the reason we all love it. It's good fun.

I don't claim or try to look cool so sure and your right about black metal but don't pretend they don't look like dorks in their corpsepaint and sound cheesy hailing satan

some bands definitely look cheesy, i think immortal look like black metal clowns but i dont think all metal is cheesy.

and i think some corpse paint looks pretty good like nocturno culto and dead.

i like corpse paint. it can look pretty ridiculous but when done right i think it looks good. its just adding a visual to the music. corpse paint makes them visually more dramatic and theatrical.
