You've never heard these guys?! They have a really unique vocalist.

Yeh, Lindow is usually the make or break with these guys.
|
| |
nope never. one of their songs came on sirius xm and it was decent but idk if it was old or new. i'll look more into them
|

Good writing man (:

I had heard of these guys getting back together. If this is on par with their first two albums, I'll be stoked. Their more recent work though is indeed less inspired.

It's a bit samey the first couple spins, but it really grew on me. Not as interesting as Snow Capped, but it works for what they are going for. I think I enjoy it more than RITF, but I'm not huge on most of that album anyway.
And holy shit, Marrow just fucking devastates me.

oh damn oh damn. a lot of nostalgia attached to this band. might just have to give this a go.

Good stuff. This is the first album since A Snow Capped Romance that I've heard in full, and I'm digging it. Songwriting is solid, and some moments are ridiculously catchy. Title track and Marrow really hit home.

This was a really, really pleasant surprise. Good to see them back on form; they were probably one of the best bands of their ilk in the way back when.
|

Snow Capped Romance is probably the best album of its kind, yeah. I should peep this

Just spotted a new track on spotify that was released last Friday...
|

It's a cover of that horrible X Ambassadors song. It's not as horrible, but just a polished turd.

I forgot how fuckin sweet brock's vocal quality is. Man he's good.
|
| |
He sounds very shot on this album though, not good
|
| |
not a fan of their albums but they are pretty awesome live
|
| |
bruh SCR is a classic
|
| |
I should give that a relisten sometime. I have it at a 3.5 but I don't remember any of it
|
| |
I pretty much grew up with songs like End of August, Bloodwork and Destroy the Map, they're still by far my favourite songs in this genre

A Snow Capped Romance is without exaggeration 36CF at their peak. Excluding the band's most recent album, the three records they concocted after major record #2 showed a group who was beginning to stagnate. Because I'm generous up the ass, I wouldn't necessarily call the stretch from Rest Inside the Flames-Collisions and Castaways bad; just uninspired and occasionally lazy. Taking into account that C&C and T&T were released nearly five years apart, I'd honestly say the wait was worthwhile.
On a side note, Also Am I is still a jam and a half.
