yeah, but the American working class doesn't really matter in America, because anytime a curse word comes up in the media, the FCC gets their nuts in a twist.

The Arctic Monkeys are a brilliant band , they don't want all this hype about them, they r genuinely good and if you miss out all the great reviews about them you still have a good band! Anyone who dosent like them - its youre loss!

When will people realize that it's not "The Arctic Monkeys." There's no "the." The ep and song are called "Who the Fuck are Arctic Monkeys."
|
| |
Well that would just be improper.
If in that case, it would be What the Fuck are Arctic Monkeys.

People getting worked up over a swear word in an album title is a little ridiculous, surely?
Most albums contain at least one swear word in them, most people in general swear most days of the week. The word is there to get people worked up over nothing.
I'd be complaining if a more classy band put out a cuss word album, because it wouldn't suit the band, not because the word shouldn't be on any albums. Suits Arctic Monkeys style.

I think the problem that some people have with it is that having the title like that makes it seem a little unproffesional, if you know what I mean.
|
| |
I guess it all just comes down to personal preferences. Some bands have a way of putting out a feeling that they really know what they are doing. The Arctic Monkeys don't really do that for me.
|
| |
For the life of me, I can't imagine why you'd put that last litle bit in there about Tool, considering they've nothing to do with the Arctic Monkeys.
I might just check this out.

This seemed a bit fanboyish to me. No buses an Alex Turner solo song and is piss poor IMO. In saying that however I agree yeah they do provide a soundtrack for 21st century for me anyway. However It really does piss me right off when people claim their overhyped. Out of all media sources only the tw'ats at the NME seem to overhype them. So why the f'uck are metal heads saying their overhyped, do they secretly read the NME or are they just looking to criticise as Metal fans do (its in their fuc'king nature to do so I suppose). This Message Edited On 05.21.06

Good review and all, but aren't you supposed to recommend albums by different artists? Strokes or whatever...
This album is somewhat boring. I think the best song is The View From the Afternoon and that's already on Whatever...
I was unimpressed by this. This Message Edited On 05.31.06

I can confirm i dont read such tripe as the NME, the reason they are overhyped is all the tabloids and music programmes say their great, so off you all trudge to the music stores and buy it...beacuse you were told to.....well F***IN done!
And yeah im criticising, thats the point of a forum Salle D'attente, is it not??!!?
|
| |
well if you'd actually read my post it clearly said THE TABLOIDS and MUSIC PROGRAMMES. im guessing your one of those not so unique indiviuals that cant read and has very little knowledge of anything in the univserse whatsoever?
|

Is it me, or have they completley ditched the sound of their debut.

Watch it Spat, he's got your number.
