I'm not labeling every single person that likes this as a fanboy. Just the folks that can't accept any negative criticism toward this band.

You know that for a fact or are you just speculating? Because i'd be willing to wager that almost all of the

folks who neg'd my review didn't do so because it wasn't well written. They neg'd because they disagreed

with what I said about the album.

"Wow... talk about not being able to take negative critisism"

Please stop talking.

I don't understand the negs. While this wasn't the strongest review, it doesn't deserve that ratio. Sorry for the hate Skooma. I guess your opinion is wrong... or something.

its not like ive collected data, but its quite clear that the presence of users displaying outward hatred for this band is much higher than anyone acting with equal aggression in the opposite respect

while I dont find it particularly great, your review still doesnt deserve the ratio it has - nevertheless a grand total of 12 users took a second of their time to click 'no', contrasting with the stream of distaste towards the band present in comments

I know quite a few of them personally outside of Sputnik and that's mainly what I was referring to.

I would've tossed out that summary but the review doesn't seem too bad.

But you're missing the point. I made it bad intentionally because of the band's affinity for bad album titles.

Just seems like a bit of a miss at humor, and one of the reviews for the last album already poked fun at the title. Just doesn't really do it for me.

I think its cool that Periphery incorporates a bit of Pop into the mix. And its not only they who do it, but many other Djent acts: Modern Day Babylon, Drewsif Stalin, Andrew Baena, etc. This is making the music more accessible to listeners and means that many more people will be insterested in Djent and Metal. And thats a good thing!

I dont think thats a good thing at all, when metal bands try to make their music more accessible, it usually goes horribly wrong, and periphery is a prime example of that.

The fist metal song I heard was Master of Puppets, when I was about 14 years old... and I hated it. After MetallicA made their music more accessible through their S&M album, I started appreciating the rest of the discography. It is because of this that I fell in love with the genre and started searching for more. On the way I found Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Symphony X, Opeth, etc. I started going to concerts, buying albums and merchandise. Now I love all kinds of metal and contribute economically to the genre. And that's because a band decided to take an accessible approach to their music. And thats good.
