I've been jamming this all week and it hasn't aged well. There's some bangers on here, but yeah... it's moe surprising this thing was my favourite dir album for a short while

There’s honestly not a track that I straight up dislike

i dunno, it's just the songwriting is very derivative to me. I still hold my opinion on it being their most important stylistic change, as it'll lead to the big three, but a lot of it sounds really dull. In a weird way, Insulated World echos this album quite a bit now I've listened to them near each other.

The main problem with this is that it is so meatheaded that for the most part, the songs rely on the production and performance to make them good. Not as heavy as what's to come yet not as wacky and fun as their previous material so a few riffs on this feel dull and flavorless. I really like the concept of raw, pissed off energy this has but they didn't bring that out until their performance on Tour 08.

Don't understand why this is the lowest rated album by DEG on this site. I think its better than both the insulated world and macabre

It’s all about opinions and how they change and refine over the years and listens. I straight up hated this album the first 2 times I listened to it, but now I do enjoy it for what it is.

Been jamming Disabled Complexes a lot lately, which is weird cause it has never been a standout track to me until recently. The live performance of it from the Insulated World bluray is incredible

I love the Tour13 Ghoul performance of it. The guitars are so crunchy on that disc.

This is one of the most underrated albums i can think of. This album is so much better than people give it credit.

not really. it used to be my favourite album of theirs at one point, but its just generic metalcore at the heart. some absolute bangers on it, mind.

I love this album, Kyo's vocals on here are so brutal. The compositions themselves are much more simplistic than say, Uroboros or even WTD, but it more than makes up for that in pure aggression. Best album for angry moods.

Oh yea, no doubt. TIW is a confused album, while on this one you can tell the band knew what they were aiming for

Simplistic brutal raw Metalcore but theres a couple interesting flourishes here and there. Repetition of Hatred and Cleaver Sleazoid are fun. Used to like this one a lot more back in high school.

Only album in DEGs discog id say this beats out is TIW tho.
