Only heard it last night myself but it fucking rocks
Some incredible climaxes/tempo changes, Child of the Desert especially, and then Nesting Dolls just takes you to another plane of existence with that spacey outro

Yeah most of it is the last minute of Child of the Desert riffs harder than basically anything else they've ever done
But the soft parts (Nesting Dolls, Phantoms) are beauteous as well

I've been listening to this non-stop since yesterday. Child of the Desert, Only The Sun and Descensus are incredible jams.

Admittedly I'm not huge on this band, but this album kinda impressed me. It's a bit less straightforward than On Letting Go for sure.

I liked bsn eventually but most of it sounded like radio alternative. at first I was excited about violent waves because initially it felt like their original sound.. but that album was so dull I gave up on it.
this album occupies that sweet spot right between those two releases. it's not juturna or bsn but that's good. we already have those albums.

Child of the desert, always begin and only the sun were low points for me. The rest was great. Nesting dolls was superb.

They should have wrote all of child of the desert around that ending though. The rezt was a snoozer.

"It's a bit less straightforward than On Letting Go for sure."
On Letting Go's melodies, guitar work, and percussion are much more complex

Really? I like the flow of the entire beginning with that off-kilter time signature. It doesn't even feel like it's 5/4.

I'm a fan of Child of the Desert along with Nesting Dolls and Phantom. Maybe I'm drawn to that side of things. Less of a punch in the face...creeps up on you instead.
