You can actually find many parts in this one that bear resemblance to prior work. But that doesn't mean it's not an excellent album, full of great melodies, that summarize their career better than TDB.

@Menawati Theoritically it's not a Gilmour solo album, as most tracks are based on Wright's work.

Relaxing album. Along with ''Walking On A Flashlight Beam'', it's the most chilling album I've heard all year.

Might just be Pink Floyd's most laid back album.

This couldn't possibly beat The Division Bell for me, but after two listens it's definitely better than I expected. Louder than Words makes much more sense in the context of the album. Still not as great as a career finale as High Hopes was though

High Hopes was the perfect way for them to end their career, agreed.

Still, the fact that this is named after the final sentence in High Hopes gives a great feeling of continuity

I prefer listening to this album as a whole song (it has such feeiling, too) with the addition of TBS9, TBS14 and Nervana. It's way more interesting this way. And I feel like closure is complete now, it's both a retrospective and a metaphore for an ''endless'' journey.

Shine On is pretty much the same thing ten times more inspired imo. Anyways, it's cool that you like this so much.

Animals and The Divison Bell easily top this for me, but I definitely didn't expect it to be this good.

i thought this was decent. has some boring moments but has songs that definetly should have been on division bell. Much better than i expected.

How have you heard 13 Pink Floyd records and not the wall?
