2013 era beck coulda led to something special, the Defriended/Won’t Be Long/Gimme singles and esp their 20+ min extended versions are prob my absolute fav Beck tunes, there’s a certain level of spacey detail fused with alt rock sprawl that strikes me as unique within the dude’s body of work, and it’s a shame that sound never found its way into a full length lp. I think about this sometimes
