Album Rating: 1.5
riff salad from one of the most creative guitar bands in metal. That's why its rated low. But in reality its just as bad as some acclaimed thrash albums.

Whole discog is on spotify but this wtf
|

>But in reality its just as bad as some acclaimed thrash albums.
based !
|
| |
Which probably means it's not actually bad
|
| |
its in the eye of the bee holder
maybe i should jam this so i can say conclusively that its better than endgame and anything exodus has put out in the 2000s haha
|
| |
Well afaik ghandhi doesn't even like metal so that's worth consideration
|
| |
im not sure about that
|
| |
I guess I should say that it seems like he doesn't like a significant portion of metal. I guess he has a few higher ratings from burzum, gorguts etc but the times I enter the threads of a metal albums i enjoy to see a low ghandhi score is much higher than the inverse scenario.
Which is fine, he can rate however he wants, I respect different tastes. All I'm saying is, a 1.5 from him isn't exactly a trustworthy indicator of if I'll enjoy this or not.
|
| |
Which as you mentioned, I guess all comes down to the eye of the beholder.
|
| |
Relativity etc
|
| |
But I 4.5/5 everything so maybe I should just keep my mouth shut
|
| |
>All I'm saying is, a 1.5 from him isn't exactly a trustworthy indicator of if I'll enjoy this or not.
sure, but in my experience there arent really any accurate "trustworthy indicators"
besides, i find it more useful to focus on what there is in common rather than what's different
|
| |
Well sure, I never said differences were more useful than commonalities
I dont think im conveying my point very effectively

Album Rating: 1.5
mb it's more like a 2.0 because it's voivod
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
This is light years away from a 1.5, the only acceptable argument against the album is that the track list should have been shorter.

Album Rating: 1.5
But it's kind of boring tho (probably)
|
| |
Im sure this isn't one of their best. Probably check it on YouTube or smth anyways
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
It isn't their best indeed, but it's good stuff, it has that subcutaneous irony the band has always been known for, and it's the closest the Canadians have been to pure rock.

Album Rating: 4.0
Even at their "worst" this band is still excellent. Very underrated effort anyways
