Album Rating: 2.5
I enjoyed the album. In Flames are notorious for changing up their sound about 2 albums a time
(where Come Clarity and Lunar Strain are the only exceptions), so I was nervous. Especially after
the two first singles... But hey, it all worked out in the end. There's a few songs that will have
you heading back for more, however it's better as a whole experience, compared to most In Flames
records that have a couple of stand out tracks. That's kinda strange too, since the songs differ a
lot. Oh well, I dug it, nothing to complain about. Feel that Anders is getting WAY too much hate.
Especially on this site.
Also (I'm probably going to get beheaded for even saying this), but am I the only one picking up on
some of the Clayman and Jester Race throwbacks? Filtered Truth sounds a lot like something that
could've been on Jester Race if it was released today, same goes for In Plain View for Clayman (the
choruses mostly).
Nice review.
