still love this to bits.. I remember the day and where I was when I found out he passed away, I had just started the 9th grade and it was the first time I was personally impacted by an artists death like that.
That was already almost like 10 years ago. I was surprised by how it made me feel

Yeah... he was dead before I had even first heard him but I was still pretty sad about it. He basically got me into music so I have that to be thankful for i guess.

I'm also in the camp of those that (properly) discovered him after his death. I had a passive interest when Samurai Champloo premiered on Adult Swim somewhere around the mid-late 2000's, but I didn't pay too much attention as Naruto was huge back then and was what I was into for a while. It wasn't until years later when I was older and more serious about what I liked that I looked into everything he made and appreciated it more, and now I listen to his music regularly.
