The middle of this album is a little weak.
K. Maybe not. I can't decide how I feel about this damn album.

Can't decide on the middle section either. The span from Envy the Vultures -> We Aren't the World is the most straightforward on the album. Goddamn if I don't find myself at work with Approach and Recede or Down the Rabbit Hole stuck in my head all the time, though. Depends on my mood, I guess.

Yeah, that's the EXACT stretch I'm referring to. They aren't bad songs, but they're a little predictable and almost bland in comparison to the rest of the album.

Good review, though I obviously disagree. This is nowhere near Adultery.

Really liked this, specially Doctor's Orders, Scarlet Fever and War Party

Would I dig this? Looks pretty interesting.

I think so, dude.

Cool I'll give it a listen sometime tomorrow then.

This shit sucks.

It's much better than Anarchists... Their 2nd best imo.
|

Easily their 2nd best. This, Adultery, and Committed are probably their only albums that I can fully enjoy for what they are though if I'm to be honest.

Committed... is also really good... that's probably their third best... haven't heard their early stuff tbh.

Tastes so sweet is a sweet track

This is quite an odd album

I still miss another track like Mushroom Cult. That was just trippy. I don't think they've made anything quite as acid-like since, correct me if I'm wrong

Silent Film? Down the Rabbit Hole? These ones are quite trippy.

The first track "Greta" speaks of a present day obsessed stalker of the long dead Greta Garbo. "Dancing like a cobra up on the silver screen." "You haunt my nightmares, you hide in my dreams ." Great lyric.

This singer doesn't get enough props for his lyrics. They're ingenious most of the time. And one of the only lyricists that I find legitimately disturbing.

I knew this would be good by the album art. Little Red whispering in the ear of the big bad wolf, filling his mind with paranoid dread.
