Went back to this song and all I could think of was Moonspell's few albums where they went to shit (ie. The Butterfly Effect *cringe*). Gothic and crappy synths are no good.

I have, but that doesn't detract from this. Of course, I'd much rather throw on Within the Realms or even Anastasis than this, but this has a slightly different atmosphere and a slight metal edge. Plus, I haven't heard many songs that sound like Dead Winter Ways or With the Current into Grey.

If you want a band that sounds like these guys but much, much better, go check out Moonspell (preferably their first few albums and The Antidote).

The atmosphere is def the best part about this which saves it from being a 2 for me. The songwriting itself is just kinda bad and boring.

The atmosphere was great. The lyrics are really good too in my opinion. Each song has a different mood which keeps it from being boring to me. Song structure could definitely have been more interesting though.



Moonspell is great but I don't think they sound all that similar other than some of the vocal styles maybe. I only have Wolfheart though..
