Will You Be Tomorrow and Future, Buddy are the only songs here I don't much care for on this album. The rest is a super solid, well-produced follow-up to Mandala.

I especially love that RX is clearly loving using more studio magic. One of the things that defined Mandala was that it was written to be perfectly recreatable on stage, but they said "to hell with that" for Gemini and it's interesting to see that shift.

Good review. Yeah this keeps getting better. Started out as a 3.5 for me and is def a 4. Ocean is pretty tight along with Penquin which is probably one of their grooviest tunes they have put out.

Stargazer and Space Tiger kick ass on first listen. But just like Mandala, this is pretty stale. Where's the energy? This pales in comparison to Battle and Resignation

Future Buddy is really good until the cheesy sing-along counting part

I think this album is worse than Progress. Coming from a massive RXB fanboy this is just boring. A

few okay songs, but I think almost every song on the past 3 albums is better than any song on

here...

1995 is pretty decent though

this doesn't really rely on verse-chorus structure much more than The Resignation did

Difference here being the Resignation is extremely catchy and this is their least catchy album. I

would say it has a ton of songs that beat anything here. Its less technical, less catchy and alot

more boring.

Reminds me of Omni after Planet of Ice... and we all know where MTB went after that

for me, there are a lot of musically interesting bits here weighed down by almost as much mediocrity (ex: the first song (not the intro) starts off with a lot of promise and then becomes pretty tiring to listen to after a minute or so. the chorus is just so w/e

There is no ska to this. Progress is more of a progressive ska type sound. Half and half.

Calling this their worst album is funny when their first two albums are shit stains on an otherwise great discography

album is rx bandits. just go see them live, they will change shit up and add jams and Matt might even take some mushrooms from someone in the audience

If the whole album was as dynamic as Ruby Cumulous, I'd five this thing. I enjoyed it nonetheless.

'Reminds me of Omni after Planet of Ice...'

yea but the thing with omni is tht a lot of fans listened once and shunned it, which was a mistake, and will be a mistake here too

Mad.
