Interesting, because I'd give this about the same rating, but for almost exactly opposite reasons. Killswitch nailed it on "Diver", as did Anthrax on "Knights", but so many of these performances sounded sterile and lifeless that they were hard to listen to, particularly Biff, Jack, and Corey.

Man On the Silver Mountain was kinda terrible and Rob sounded bored as hell until that last vamp.

Probably most underwhelming track when you think of who performed it.

Metallica still surprises me in here, probably the best song they've done since The Black Album, it is so Garage Inc.esque

I prefer the Mercyful Fate medley but this rules too. They're very good at covering iconic stuff.

Sadly it isn't the same when we speak of original material...

Metallica medley kills on this. Anthrax and Adrenaline Mob covers also slay.

Death Angel's Heaven and Hell is better than at least most of this imo.

Not a bad tribute album; I expected it a bit better tbh.

Thanks for the share Sab. "Heaven and Hell" should have been included on here and this is a solid version indeed.

It's curious how they relegated Stryper's Heaven and Hell to the Japanese bonus tracks here. Actually, even the Death Angel cover is a bonus track on their 2013's album. It's a shame, because covering such a song likely translates to an album highlight ahah
