Given the ridiculous amounts of hyperbolic praise that The Seer got, I figured that it was far ahead of any of their other stuff... which wouldn't be saying much given how it totally overrated it was.
Anyways, the first three tracks of this album slays like nothing else, but the rest doesn't quite live up to it.

their early stuff is like...proto-industrial + noise, so you might dig that

Eh, maybe. Industrial and noise rock are two genres that I'm almost never in the mood for. Too repetitive and droning. I got through an Unwound album once though, and that was an alright experience.
If you could suggest one Swans album, what would it be?

white light from the mouth of infinity, soundtracks to the blind, filth, and children of god are the
ones i'd recommend to start with

you'd probably like soundtracks and children of god the most

Hype, if they're being idiots in the interview, don't judge the music based on that. They're amazing at what they do, pervs or not.

Yeah you were right: not my thing. However, your ItMoM reference makes me *want* to like it

sounds like a poor mans coffinworm or wolvhammer, two bands already bordering on mediocre
