Enough time has passed for me to say that this album is a complete disappointment. I find all of their albums uneven, but this one's just boring, with three tracks I like. For the most part, it's just the same damn song. Quiet verse with palm-muted guitar -> loud chorus where all instruments blend into a wall of ear-piercing noise (who the hell produced this?). Ad infinitum. I've probably listened to the whole thing 20 times or so, and I still can't remember how half of the songs sound when I look at their names.
The review nailed it for the most part, but I just can't see as many positives as you. I just hope in a few years' time we'll all agree that this was just a stumble for these guys.

Andy Hull has such a good voice too, I hate the heavy production on the vocals
