I need to hear this. I think I have this album, but I doubt I've sat down and listened to it. I've only heard his Fleetwood Mac stuff when he was with them in the '60s, but I've ignored his solo stuff unfortunately. Will check it out.

Also, fantastic review, Jamie. I'm loving your progress in both quality and quantity. I'm so glad you got the bump up.

@Cap
I'm good. Just doing school mainly and other stuff. Good to see you around, man.

One of my friends has a copy of this man's Les Paul by Edwards Guitars. Plays and sounds like a dream.

I quite like this, very jazzy with some psych vibes, really nice sounds.

Great review, convinced me to check it out :P

Thanks man. I'm hoping the review helps highlight some of the subtleties of the album and its relation to Green's mental state, as for me that's what makes this really special.

Yeah I can see that. I don't know much about the man, so I can't say I have the same connection with it as you do, but it's definitely interesting to know the story behind it. Might check out some other works by him, but I want to let this sink in first.

Although it's a lot more subtle (and obviously less vocal), the atmosphere here reminds me a bit of Nick Drake.

Have you heard Fleetwood Mac's Then Play On? That's pretty much the essential Peter Green album.

Nope, only thing I've heard from them was Go Your Own Way and Green Manalishi. I assume Peter Green had nothing to do with the former haha

Haha no, only the latter which is one of his masterpieces.

Yeah bro, it's great to see my review has inspired people to check this out. I'm sure your enthusiasm towards it has helped somewhat too.

To be honest the first track is one of my least favourites on here. It's still awesome though, just doesn't hit me as hard as the others.

Thanks Atari.

Got my Heavy Heart 7" in the post today.

Now to track down a copy of Beasts of Burden (the other single from this era).
