I can admire your optimism, I really can. I'm not digging at you, even if it sounds like I am. I just don't have the same faith in these guys, hahah.

Yeah people should think more before writing a review. We need more wisdom.

First step to absolute wisdom is admitting avenged sevenfold are talentless and all their albums are
the purest definition of generic.

Insurrection I think you need to wake up and smell the Axe deodorant because there are swaths of people that firmly believe that Avenged Sevenfold is the end-all be-all of music simply because of "shreddy guitars" and "hardcore vocals" and "the best drummer of all time" x2. Everything in quotes are reasons I've been given for why this band is a person's favourite.

I met somebody who thought that the vocalist of this band and Metallica were the same person before. Great conversation that was, him vehemently defending his extensive knowledge of his favourite band only to come up to me the next day and mention how he was joking.
High school.

"satire (noun)
The use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc. "
According to this definition you're right, this shit seems like satire. However, the only thing wrong is that it was not intentional.

I understand... Anyway, I was only trolling tbh. Nightmare is their only good album in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure Nightmare was good only because of Portnoy. It's definitely not a popular opinion but that album was very DT-esque.

Satire, you say? This album was promoted as an old school heavy metal album since the beginning, therefore I think they knew exactly what they were doing. Also, in my opinion this album is way too polished to be satirical. In fact, in addition to some plagiarism, we also find tracks like "Coming Home" and "Acid Rain" which are very good.
To put it simply, they did put some effort here, it's impossible to deny it. But they did went too far with the "rocking like past legends" idea, and this is impossible to deny too. I think they wanted to show that they can play some powerful heavy metal and, well, they did. Have you ever been to their lives? I think all haters never had, because these guys totally rock on stage.
I'm sure of this: their next album will be decisive. If they'll publish a great work, they'll be saved. If they'll publish another controversial work, their reputation will be crushed forever (but they'll never die, God dang they are selling way too much to die).
(By the way, Nightmare is their worst imo)
