I really enjoy the new guitarists solo's and technicality he added. I dig this album and I view 'Dead In My Arms' and 'Until I Feel Nothing' to be their best work, I know most people don't like 'Dead in My Arms', but as a fan of deathcore, I absolutely love the pure brutality of Lie to My Face, and Collaborating like Killers. I also miss the Dr. Acula-esque movie quotes in a lot of the songs. The "WHAT THE FUCK!" in Lie to My Face is so perfect and I still think that song has one of the greatest breakdowns in deathcore history.

I enjoy "deathcore" for what it is. This is still average at best. I can't wait for 10 years from now when people are discussing the FWODC (first wave of Deathcore) and complaining that Carnifex sold out and that As Blood Runs Black was the better band....

I love ABRB, but they take wayyyy too fucking long to release new material. I can see people considering Carnifex as a sell out, but as long as they keep putting out good shit, I'll always love em. This albums atmosphere and addition of piano remind me of Make Them Suffer.

Just separated my paragraphs more to make the review a bit less intimidating. I'll condense it more tomorrow

Working on my neoclassical guitar work, and also writing some music for my solo project. Time to stop delaying and really get things going :] You?

I'm actually trying to land a job at a record store around my area and I think I'm gonna get it because of my music experience. I literally had to staple another page to my application with that experience, haha

Thanks man. I just got This Godless Endeavor by Nevermore and Sinead O'Connor's debut album from there, both at just 2 bucks :D

The album's soooo fucking good. It's sort of a mix between the extreme thrash of Enemies of Reality and the more progressive side of Dreaming Neon Black. How the band aren't on ProgArchives still baffles me

I once gave Shouso Strip by Shiina Ringo a 6/5 and the mods switched it back to a 5 :P

They still never deleted my 0.0 for Waking the Cadaver though... which is good, because that's what it deserves
