There're tons of bands that sound like this, so you're missing out O:

and come on complaining about treble in a black metal release is like complaining that hip hop has too much bass [3]

I didn't like the mix at first but it grew on me as the album progressed. I do believe that the drums are a bit too far back but that's about it.

it is 100% possible for hip hop to have too much bass, and where i have more of an allowance for black metal to have a treble-oriented mix, this goes over the line for me and is literally painful to listen to

maybe it's my headphones but i haven't had any problems with treble-heavy mixes before, it's literally just this album so honestly i'm just as confused as you

also just so you know i don't have a shit rip, got the bandcamp rip

I can't believe its 2014 and people still complain about the production on a black metal album

i can't believe people still say that stupid statement in 2014 but there you go

i've no idea what makes black metal exempt from scrutiny - it's not about production being 'good' or 'bad', it's about matching the album and in this one it really, really doesn't match for me at all

i mean my favorite black metal album is dark space iii and that's barely pristine studio quality

also i just tried this album again and i literally have a headache, i give up on it

Some recording/mixing styles heighten the quality of the music, some styles detract from it. :-|

If you got your version from spotify or iTunes, it was a pirated low quality version.
