A decent album by the band's usual standards, but to me Skindred will always be best as a live act. Not that there's anything wrong with that! The title track and 'Ruling force' are definitely the best songs on here, whereas the rest of the album afterwards for me just seem to stagnate a little.

I really, really want to see these guys live one day. The energy they manage to cram on a CD is greater than that of most bands playing live. I can't even fathom how energetic their live show must be.

It's extremely energetic. They certainly get everyone moving, even those who are stood with their arms folded and look bored right at the back. I would gladly see them live again when I get the chance.

Only time I saw them was at the Hammerfest festival in Wales March 2012, but it remains very memorable indeed. For those interested, I'll post a video here of what I believe to be the band's unique selling point as far as live performances go:

...Yeah, I didn't know what a "Newport Helicopter" was until I saw them live either.
