I dug tightrope when I was getting in touch with my inner hipster.

I think 'Crystallized' was the one that stood out on 1st listen. It's a clear single, but other songs grew on me a little more than it did.

They're fun live Davey, lot's of energy, spot on with the instruments and the lead vocalist puts on a hell of a show. Will def see them anytime they play within 6 hours of my city.

Haha. Thought there were some mixed signals there cyg. I kept seeing Walk The Moon as a band comparison to these guys, but I don't really hear it myself.

I thought that may have been the case JWT. I'd seen some pics & especially the singer looked as if he was fronting a much heavier band. That can be both a positive & negative with a band like this though imo, where they really have to get that musical aspect just right.

I pair the two together because I listened to both at the same time, with the same friends, and sounded pretty similar to me. idk

I like this a lot better than their debut on first listen.

I guess I just see Walk The Moon as more of a poppier - almost mainstream - band similar to the likes of Imagine Dragons.

A few are saying that skoopy. I can't say I personally agree, as I thought the highlights were better on the self-titled LP... & that's what I tend to gravitate to on 1st listens.

They're poppier, but the Imagine Dragons comparison is way too much. Anna Sun will always be a much better song than Demons. YtG aren't like WtM that much aside from both being Verb the Noun bands

'Verb the Noun' is a bloody good name for a band.

Strangely, when I hadn't heard a thing from either band, I used to get Young the Giant mixed up with Cage the Elephant. It's a whole new sub-genre you've just labeled!

an imagine dragons comparison would've been a vague compliment 2 years ago when I first found them. nowadays, it's a pretty bad insult.

This is growing on me more each listen. That 10 minute lull of Fireflight and Camera just bores me but then In My Home wakes it up a bit. Teachers and Anagram are also some of my favorites aside from the three singles. Pretty great on shuffle though.

those two songs basically decreased my rating of this from a hard 4 to like a 3.7

anyways Davey, when I first heard "It's About Time", I thought it was a Cage the Elephant song. Mainly because "Come a Little Closer" is now Cage's biggest hit ever and radio plays the crap out of it
