Ugh its threads like this that make me wanna leave sputnik....
Get ready for another 50 pages of how Spencer sucks, the instruments are shit and the fanbase is annoying.

we all care about you so much

It really sucks having followed Periphery since the '05 - '06 days. I feel like the band's lack of
legitimate identity has held them back from any type of progressive development in songwriting, and I
do see that as being a product of Spencer's entry. But that's what they wanted!

Good review. EP isn't really good or bad. Agree that it's hit or miss. Just all around too safe. Pale
Aura is pretty nice, though.

is that cover an intentional kanye reference?

Seeing as how their sophomore album referenced the worst Jaws film, I wouldn't be surprised.

Man album cover rules I bet this is fantastic

Already bumped it down, this is def not awesome.

Last record had its moments. Parts of this sound good, but as others have mentioned, it's rather hit or miss. But I don't think we should have expected anything different, since the group has advertised it as such since this thing was announced in the first place.

I liked "The Parade of Ashes"... Mostly because its located after the most djent-y song of the bunch. Pretty average EP, I'll probably only listen to 2 of the songs more than once, whereas I liked most of PII.

Im pretty sure that the band did not advertise this EP as a hit or miss if thats what your referring to.

Pale Aura is definitely the standout of the lot. Pretty damn sweet tune.
