Why are people bitching about the vox on this album? Not like they’re too out of the ordinary for a dm album.
Anyways, this is amazing. m/

Ok this is easily one of the best tech death albums I’ve ever heard.

It is rather impressive yeah, brings the tech and the melody. Might up to a 4, difficult not to think of a whole lot of other good tech from Quebec while listening to this, tho

Canada sure does know how to bring the tech that’s for sure.

The fact that they never put out this gem on vinyl is a crime against humanity

Hawks I don’t understand it either. They’re awesome. Nobody and I mean nobody has mixed inhales and exhales as well as this guy imo.
Musically I have trouble with it. The vox are the only thing that’s stuck with me when I think of them (not that the instruments are bad by any means)

Relistened to this the other day and my god does it ever rip. Probably the most fun I've had in a long time listening to a metal album, replayed Mutants War, Secheresse and a few others about a dozen times after

Ngl this is probably my favorite dm album. Never gets tiring for even a second, the riffs are so fucking good, crunchy and creative and you even hear some Anata/Bach-like counterpoint in the riffage. And the way the drums are super hard hitting too, that snare really slams. The vocals really do sound unhuman as well, Youri is a maniacal genius.
I really wish more bands picked up this style of tech death because the fact that these guys only have one studio album is a crime. It wanks sometimes but the technicality is so creative and different from most bands in this style.
