i'm in a mood for some arty, slightly depressing, yet amazing music, so when i'm finished listening to the Pax Cecilia album i'm gonna listen to this again, as it's been a while since i last gave it a spin.
figured i'd post and bump the review a bit, because this album doesn't get enough love.

yeah this album is amazing but it's replay value has worn thin with me

the
two of Riley, the Thrice's bassist's huge influences part in the review is a little off. Eddie Thrice's bassist. Riley is the drummer.

Every time I listen to this I get a strange feeling that I've heard these songs before. But of course I've heard them before. What I mean is that I always get this feeling that I heard them a long time ago. idk. Album ****ing rules.

It took me a long time to realize how genius this album really is. Its been in my collection for a long time now, every since i first read this review, but the greatness of this album has just recently sunk in. Walking the streets of Florence with a slight rain in the air really sinks this one home. The whole thing really does feel so incredibly human its insane. It is easy to see how they broke up after this, nothing else they could have done would have been this perfect, and I'm completely fine with that.
5/5 in the truest of senses

This is pretty much win. Took a couple of listens to get into, but those listens were well worth it.

Much like everyone else I didn't really get into this after listening to their previous stuff so much. I thought it was kind of a let down. Then I put it on after a good 4 or 5 months and was blown away, just like that...outta nowhere.
I posted my rating for this album awhile ago - and it has only grown on me more, because at this point it is easily a "classic" to me.
One of those recordings that you will go out of your way to get someone else to listen to just so they will have a better understanding of what GOOD/GREAT/AMAZING music, regardless of genre, can really sound like.
doh! edit: found this earlier as well...

I've been doing/feeling that all week. Blessed are the Bonds and this album have both just clicked for me. Album's fantastic. Plus, I do write history.

Nice review as usual.
These guys finally clicked the other day, awesome post-hardcore, I love the odd time signatures and the slightly unusual riffs.
Kinda like ATD-I but with more tolerable vocals (I love the rawness of his screams as well.)

This is good, first band that I really see how the similarity to Thrice.
And also not that you care since I'm guessing you wrote this a while back but "(two of Riley, the Thrice's bassist's huge influences)" I'm assuming you mean Ed not Riley.
