What was I thinking when I reviewed this? Someone change the title to something like "post-hardcore/pop-punk". I got the first album, tons better than this
Or just change it to popcore. They are pop punk with like 5% hardcore because I guess they scream every so often.

i can definitley agree with the supporters of their music, but i think their first album is far better, any comments?

you nazi bastard

I thought this album was down right horrible. After the intros, almost every song sounds exactly the same. Their first cd wasn't bad, and after hearing thank you for you venom I bought the cd, hoping to hear songs like that. I was downright Disappointed by this album.

I loved this album but "I never told you what I do for a living" was one of my favorite songs on the album, i think i perfer this over igave you my bullets, but that is just my opinion

This is one of my favorite cd's it is pure brilliance! the lyrics are just awesome and the guitars and just everything about it is awesome!

Overall, I think the review is pretty good, but, just to be a jackass I have to disagree with 2 of the songs...
The Ghost of You-
In my opinion this is one of the best songs on the album, the guitar work is really good, but the vocals make the whole song great, they're so haunting in the verse, and so overpowering in the chorus, and I LOVE the... err... yelling in the background of the (goosebump inducing) solo
Cemetery Drive-
By [i]FAR my favorite song on the CD, it is almost purely a vocal song because the music is so faint at times, but when it does come through, the vocals are still so amazing and overpowering that I just pay no attention to it and let myself drown in the emotion he portrays with the lyrics, I dont know how you could say its the worst on the CD... I love it.

good songs, great album
|
| |
i don't like them to much but whatever
|
| |
i liked the album, listened to it for ages.. only coz i couldnt find anything better to listen to in my cd pile at the time.. but anyway my fave song was probably The Ghost Of You.. The lyrics and vocals were great coz they were kinda intense in some parts. Guitars were good and i cant complain about the drums
Overall prettty good, it was definately worth a listen

This band makes crying yourself to sleep fun! I really like this album, 4/5.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!! ITS LIKE MY FAVORITE CD EVER!!!!
hahaha
i
thought the whistle intro for"hang 'em high" was cheesy but otherwise great lyrics, great singing, great riffs, great beats everything about it was great. and cemetary drive isn't the worst track on the cd, i mean it didn't deserve a 6, there are a few cliches or almost cheesy areas in it like where hes like "it isn't that much fun starin down a loaded gun." you can tell they just really wanted a rhyme but otherwise great song.
i find myself randomly walking down the halls at school and all of a sudden i'll break into a "so long and goodnight" or a "i miss you" or even "in the middle of a gunfight in the center of a restaurant." haha
great cd!

HELENA is a awsome song and would be given a 10 by me
|
| |
I have one word for the stuff I've heard off of this album: Generic.
|
| |
It is sooooooo not emo. Its just dark hardcore. I know most emo is. But look at true emo and youll see that this is nothing like it
|
| |
Helena should of got 9 or 10 man, i love it !
|
| |
Helena is so unbelievably catchy. The video kinda sucks, though.
Good album. MCR's a pretty nice band.
|
| |
'To The End' is a great song. I love the intro. Good review.
