yeah it is. got it on cd today coincidentally

not a very consistent album in a way tbh seeming as youve got 4 on one end and then goon gumpas on the other. one of his less experimental tho

he doesn't really do albums, he kind of just puts out collections of songs and that mildly irks me

kinda disagree, there's a coherence that differentiates records like Richard D from Druqhs or Selected Ambient II

Odd. I feel like this is probably his most consistent album and has a strong theme related to adolescence. It's really upbeat, full of strings and has track titles like boy girl and to cure a weakling child accompanying a picture of grave stone which is obviously a tribute to his deceased brother. Fingerbib has an almost naïve sense of optimism and wonder to it (and I love it). Maybe I'm just drawing connections that don't really exist but to me it certainly does sound like a complete album and nothing like a mere handful of songs that got thrown together for no reason at all.

na man that makes perfect sense. drawing connections that might not even exist is one of the best parts about art in general. i totally forgot about the dead brother connection and your perspective does make some sense.

Ah, that's cool. For some reason, I felt like it'd be more up your alley than this. I guess I'm just that far from understanding the enigma that is BigPleb.
