I know they're supposed to be fun and all that, I've been listening to them since before Everything I say when they were playing crappy local venues in Modesto and Sacramento. The point of this review was that their musical abilities, songwriting, and overall feel is more developed and matured, not that Dance Gavin Dance has turned into The National.
But ya'll know this is my *opinion* right?

Carve and Honey Revenge are the two strongest songs on this to my ears. Interesting that you'd pick out those as your least favorites.

Its better than what I expected. Should have been a 4 but the voice layering and the crappy production brought it down for me. Plus Tillian's voice didnt need to be that high. Dreamhouse proves that his voice is great just the way it is, no altering needed.
But yeah I like the album the more I listen.

Im actually looking forward to Kurt's new album with ALLB. Johnny isnt doing shit since no one wants his ass anymore. Even Emarosa was like no we dont want you back.
Johnny is good but overrated.

I realize that my intention behind my review was kinda lost in the notion that I though Dance Gavin Dance changed their sound. Sorry bout the miscommunication guise, this is only my second review, and I'm still learning as I go.

Rosenbridge: I thought your review was just fine. I actually think I liked it better before you added to it. Don't take the opinions of everyone else too seriously here. This is a relatively high profile release and everyone and anyone will take a chance to jump on it.
Also, I'm really sick of comments like these:
Our dancing friend Gavin becomes a man.
That's not nearly as clever as you thought it was.
Take your smug sense of undeserved superiority and write something better if you're going to be such a condescending twat.

two things:
1. Growing up rules don't be a baby
2. I too wouldn't say this record is mature

I didn't care for this review too much, too much needless imagery and flowery words but well written nonetheless
