I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED - I should clarify that I don't think the albums treatment of tape music and electroacoustics is nuanced or especially clever, but it does uncannily feature all the things that i'm a sucker for - looped vocals, backgrounded Traditional Music to tremendous emotional effect, the compenetration of the two into a confusing swirl, the way that 'data', the focus of the piece, is reduced to a non-diegetic obfuscation of anything approaching a narrative (not the only postmodern feature by the way; perhaps more obviously the backgrounding of the music and the unremitting drone of speech in both English and Spanish represents a Mexico under the thrall of globalization). Anyway I think it's nothing short of astounding, although i can see why you wouldn't
