It's post rock it's not supposed to have traditional vocal styles.

we're running out of listenable post rock

Damn, I was hoping for another All is Violent, All is Bright before the winter time. That album goes great with winter depression.

Maybe if they got a vocalist....
I'm sorry, but every instance of instrumental post-rock I've ever tried out has just been boring, and these guys are no exception?
uhh
over half the tracks here have vocals, are you deaf?

Don't ever judge the state of post rock by the new God Is An Astronaut record

Unfulfilled indeed.
Had to come back and lower my rating to "average", even more disappointing than their last one.

As a pretty big fan of their previous work, this really disappointed me. :/

After starting with Helios and working backwards, I found this to be their best cd. Reverse world, exit dream, and light years from home have extremely high replay value. But everything else hits hard too. I see a lot of people putting this band's brand of music down but in comparison to what, ISIS or something heavier? I'm just wondering what you guys are listening to that is better than this. This album is them at the top of their game. I see a lot of excitement for far less palatable music.
