This is a perfect example of a personal classic that I haven't rated as such.

I like most of this album a lot, but some of the lyrics such as the ones in "Clover Over Dover" make me cringe.

Man, I want to love this album but I can't. It has some truly fantastic songs(Girls and Boys, End of a Century, Parklife, Magic America) and the short filler tracks are actually pretty fun but there's a bunch of tracks that do nothing for me(London Loves, Trouble in the Message Centre, To the End, Clover Over Dover) and Tracy Jacks is god awful. I'm feel like I'm one the few people that prefers The Great Escape over this.

It's of its time unlike any album I know.

'john is down the fun pub drinking lots of lager' doesn't quite fit in this day and age. Do 'fun pubs' even exist anymore?

Bump'd

That's the awesome thing about this band though; different moods on different albums, both are enjoyable imo. 13 is deeper and this is just plain fun. Like different types of intercourse.
