My favorite trick is in Crows Nest in Halo 3 when you drop out of the sewer section and you open the door to go thru the barracks (which is one of the hardest parts of the level) you can hammer launch all the way across the chasm pretty consistently it's super satisfying and skips easily 2 minutes

John Mayer has an uncredited guitar part on Epilogue if anyone didn't know. Apparently he wanted to be on this project despite his label's wishes.
