it is but i do think saying her cleans are airy is pretty factually wrong. courtney is probably better on a technical level but krysta had much more raw emotion. courtney just feels sterile to me. i should give this stuff another shot though sometime.

that's totally fair. This album hits hard, Mind The Gap is permanent playlist for me. I get finding Courtney sterile but I fell in love with her on that first Spiritbox EP when they were still proggy.

I definitely prefer Krysta. Her clean vox might be less coherent, but I love those Bjork-inspired inflections she had in her singing. Plus, her gutterals were fucking nasty
Courtney's great too, although I prefer her vox in Spiritbox

This album has its moments, but it's always felt like an awkward teenager to me - not quite the uninhibited id of It's All Happening or the mature and convincing sound of Hail Mary. Worth a listen but never quite sure of what note it was trying to hit.
