Korra's great, but Avatar's still in a league of its own. The fact that it has an 8.9/10 on Imdb.com and was marketed as a kid's show on Nickelodeon is just crazy

You guys watch last weeks episode? Blew me away. I'm not even exaggerating IMO that episode had almost breaking bad storytelling quality. Like holy fuck that is the way to tell an origin story right.

Me either man. The ratings have lowered unfortunately hope it doesn't get cancelled. Honestly even over sozins comet and the crossroads of destiny I think that was the best episode of avatar.

I think sozins comet was better, but only just. Beginnings is an easy second place for me.

Yep every friday night at 8 I remember lol the world and mythology is so well realized. I was still in middle school when it ended so watching it through a second time a lot older made me appreciate how mature and insightful the show is.

Yeah, I remember I was in fourth grade when it came out. Honestly, one of the few shows on Nickelodeon I'm not ashamed of watching when I was a kid.

I'd still watch it again I have no shame whatsoever and fuck anyone who says otherwise. It has something for everyone. A Perfect balance of humor, story, and genuine emotion. Plus it gets dark at times which is another aspect I like.

One of the few kids shows with actual dark elements. The only other show with stuff as serious like that was the 2003 TMNT series (and that show had some DARK elements in it). Even so, both have their lighter, more silly moments.

The episode where sokka gets high off the cactus still makes me laugh every single time it's on.

Yeah, those were some of the funniest moments of the show. Most of the humor in the first Avatar was great.
