Still don't understand what they were thinking when this was being produced.

Have you heard the actually CD rip? It's a tad better than what's been around pre-release.

CD rip is definitely not as bad as I thought, but that being said the album itself is still a total letdown. Fake History is many many leagues above this. I just hope we get another album of that quality from them in the future. If they move further in this direction I'll have a hard time sticking with them, and that would make me saaaad.

I liked their previous LP, but this just doesn't do anything for me.

Fantastic review!

Surprised you didn't say anything "Virgin Dirt" though, that song has been polarized amongst listeners to say the least.

On first listen this is not as good as Fake History by a lot. The single is by far the worst song though. Why do bands always to that btw? Jason Butler is an awesome vocalist, however.

This album falls exactly at the crossroads of some of my favorite genre's: Pop, Post-Hardcore, Soul, Rock. It's also played by actual instruments, which I always like more than not. Good beats, choruses, and weird enough to make me feel like I'm listening to something original. But it's not so weird that it annoys me, it's got hooks.
